Chemically, glycolic acid falls in the
class of alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs).

It is naturally available in the environment.
The chemical name :‘Glycolic Acid’ has become popular in the recent days. Its role is especiallyin the skin care.

Alpha Hyroxy acids are most commonly extracted from sugarcane. They are in the form of powder in the raw state made up of colourless crystals .
