So like most of the people out there,I was also excited about the apple launch event, and finally apple launched three new devices, Iphone Xs, Iphone Xs max and Iphone Xr.

As most of us know, Iphones are always at the top end of the market, whether talking about the quality or about the pricing. The pricing might appear to be fair in the native countries, where the device and the company belongs to, but here in the Indian market, gold is being sold at the price of diamonds. If we compare the price of apple devices in india to the price of apple devices in the international market, we will find that we are paying almost 30 to 40% extra for the same. Already being one of the most expensive smartphone lineups available to common consumers, last year apple shooted up the price of its device to above 1 lakh and it was the first time when sales of the product fell down by 27%.

With the latest device, even that threshold has been crossed by the flagship leader company. Even in the countries like US, the top model of the new smartphone cost 1449 dollars and the company doesn’t ever hesitate in taking additional taxes from the customers. They don’t even provide a complete inbox package. Till the last year, the company used to provide a lightning to audio jack dongle which has already been removed from the box this year. The dongle costs around 6 to 7 USD and in India is sold around 700 t 800 INR. It was until last year when the company sold 2 million units of the same making it the most purchased apple accessory in the year 2016-2017, and clearing its money making approach, the company stopped providing the most purchased accessory for free.

The current exchange rate of dollar to rupee is around 74 INR and in such condition, the company has even gone far and simply has considered that one dollar is equal to 100 INR and that is what the actual price of the merchandise in India is. Have a look

By the above mentioned data, it is clear that apple is charging around 40% extra from the consumers in India .Go ahead and buy the original apple mobile case worth 4000INR and the amount goes to 1.5 lakh INR. And the new devices are just the’S’ upgrade in the series and there are no major improvements.As consumers we understand that there are different types of taxes for example the import duty, but the hidden fact is that the company is working on huge profit margins. What else could be the reason for removing a 7USDaccessory from the box. The company is still providing the same charger in box which it used to provide back in 2008, when the world saw the first ever iphone. The flagship phone supports wireless charging but no kind of the same is provided within the box. We are paying the price which is truly high and getting nothing in return except a logo of the renowned company.

People should be aware of what they are spending and what they are getting in return. Buying an Iphone just because “it is an Iphone”, is not at all worth it. Even other companies in competition have their top models priced around 80,000 INR. Apple has to do something about this soon.
