We usually see cricket fans arguing a lot about who is the best captain of Indian cricket team till date.

Cricket in India is considered as a religion. When Sachin Tendulkar crosses any landmark, Sensex usually hits high. Such is the craze the game Cricket have got in India.

To talk about what leadership has to do with the team, one has to have a look on different attributes and skills our Indian cricket team captains usually have. Let us have a look at the different characters/personalities few captains had.

During the times of Kapil dev as captain, winning the 1983 world cup was unexpected. He not only made India proud but also created a opportunistic character in young Indians then.

Sourav Ganguly as a captain straight away imparted aggressiveness and a zeal to win the matches no matter how strong the opponent team is.

Here comes a special captain who got the opportunity all of a sudden to be a captain and who utilized it more than anyone else. He is none other than Mahendra Singh Dhoni. As everyone knows, he is cool, confident and clever. SS Rajamouli, the director of sensational movie 'Bahubali' once praised Dhoni as 'karma yogi'. Karma Yogi is that person who does good to the whole world, loves the whole world and all its beings selflessly.

The captains of the team should always support their players even when they aren't performing good to get the best out of them, always motivate them and also make sure they all are disciplined and punctual. Irrespective of who the best captain is, we have to appreciate their unique skills, learn and get motivated from them.

The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not a bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly– Jim Rohn
