How many articles do we read on how to achieve what we proclaim as "success" or "happiness" in life? Well, here's the real deal. Your dream job isn't going to give you happiness in life. You'll be happy initially, but it won't last. Not that I'm against those who yearn for it. Our lives aren't movies, where the drumroll ends when we get our job or when we walk besides the woman we love along the aisle. Real life is messy. If you're honestly happy at the coffee that's by your beside at 7 AM in the morning which comes without demand from your mother, if you're happy after giving a lift to a random stranger, if you're happy spending 5 minutes talking to your dad everyday on his struggles and if you're happy reminiscing the inside joke that only you and your friend shared via telepathy, tell yourself loud and clear it's the happiness that lasts. There are infinite more examples I could give, but the truth is, it's the happiness that comes out of little incidents like these that impacts us and stays with us. Because unlike movies, happyness cannot be pursued. It's a state of mind within ourselves, and I really hope everyone attains inner peace someday.
