The hashtag #MeToo became viral on social media, with a huge response from the likes of America Ferrera, Jennifer Lawrence, Lady Gaga, Gwyneth Paltrow.
In India, the movement began with Tanushree Dutta accusing Nana Patekar of sexually harassment. The movement got a huge response .A small confession by a popular personality gave courage to all the women around the globe to come forward and speak up for themselves. This movement also goes on to show that court of people has more power and strength than the judicial system. This movement has shed light on the misconduct that needs to be addressed.
