The Li-Fi(light fedility) technology was proposed by German scientist namely Harald Hass. The main function of this LiFi technology is to transmit the data via light. This technology offers many benefits over Wi-Fi technology such as high bandwidth, ease of use, efficiency, and safety. These systems can communicate from street lights to auto-piloted cars with the help of their headlights As the speed of the light is more, data communication speed is faster in that system. The main feature of this technology includes fully networked, bidirectional and high-speed wireless communication. For obtaining better speed, efficiency, Li-Fi technology has evolved. The data transmission in this technology can be done using light because the light intensity changes quicker than the human eye. The range of data transmission in Li-Fi technology is 100 times faster than that of Wi-Fi. Hence, this technology can be implemented for speed data access for the laptops, and gadgets that will be transmitted during the beam in a room.
Li-Fi is a VLC(visible light communications) system and the speed of this system is very high. This uses normal LEDs to allow the data to transfer and increase the speed up to 200 Gigabites/sec. The data transmission can be done via illumination(brightening something). The devices used for Li-Fi technology are bright LEDs. The ON/Off activity of LEDs permits data transmission in the form of binary codes.

Disadvantages of Li-Fi technology
The main problem is how the receiver will send the data back to the transmitter section.
It doesn’t work in the dim areas.
Sunlight in the lane of communication may cause intermission in the transmission.
