Music is so much more than enjoyment for our ears.It affects our minds and souls to create a multi-sensory experience that goes far beyond listening.The power that different sounds can have on us is tremendous—as any music fan knows, a single song can immediately impact our mood. It sets the Mood. Just think about how you and your friends react when your favorite song comes on the radio—the lyrics and beats create a bond between those singing along. Certain sounds, tempos, lyrics and instrumental arrangements evoke different emotions within us.The ways music impacts our mood is one of the main reasons people love listening to it!

What is a Music Genre? It is a Typical Music Category which identifies some pieces of music as belonging to a common tradition or set of conventions. Music can be segregated into different Genre. Let's See what They're....

Firstly Jazz

"Jazz" started as a West Coast slang term around 1912. Its meaning varied but it did not refer to music initially. Jazz came to mean jazz music in Chicago around 1915.It is a type of music that originated in the southern states of America during the early 20th century and characterised by improvisation, syncopation, and a regular rhythm, and typically played on brass and woodwind instruments."jazz" has a range and diversity, a richness and beauty, that is totally belied by such a bland definition.The beauty of jazz, the magnificence of jazz, is that it reproduces and amplifies those sounds, time after time, moment after moment, in ways that speak directly to the heart and ears of the listener as no other music does.

Some of the best Jazz Musicians today are Gregory Porter and Robert Glasper.

Secondly Country Music

It started in the southern United States in the early 1920s. It is also known as 'Country' or"Hillbilly Music'.Country and western music is a genre of American pop music derived from Southern folk music. Most country songs are simple and easily memorable, featuring three chords and a verse-chorus-verse structure. They usually focus on a handful of familiar topics.country songs take the form of a narrative, one that includes characters, dialogue, plot twists and climaxes. Rather than being sung, action will sometimes be spoken. Many singers of this Music ,to be specific Male singers have image of someone ' damaged'.Famous Country singer Johnny Cash covered it all.

Thirdly Pop

Pop Music is currently one of the trending Music genre .It gave the highest number of hits because it is upbeat and it focuses on common themes. It is a popular music genre originated in modern form in the United States and United Kingdom during the mid-1950s. There are different types of Pop Music Christian Pop,Classical crossover, Arab pop,Country pop etc.With its roots in the rock & roll style, this form can include any form of music ranging from urban and dance to rock, country and Latin. Instruments highly used are electric guitars, synthesizer drums as well as bass .

Some of the Known Pop singers are Madonna,Micheal Jackson,Lady Gaga and many more.

Fourthly Hip-Hop

This Music is also known as RAP music, it is developed in United States by inner-city African Americans in the late 1970s. It generally includesrapping, a rhythmic and rhyming speech .It has a wide range of styles.The term hip-hop refers to a complex culture comprising four elements: deejaying, or “turntabling”; rapping, also known as “MCing” or “rhyming”.DJ Kool Herc, a.k.a. Clive Campbell, laid the first building block of hip-hop down in 1973 when he hosted a party in his building reportedly.Kayne west,Migos are some of the known hip-hop/Rap singers.

Fifthly Rock Music

Its originated as 'Rock and roll' in United states in 1950's.Sister Rosetta Tharpe, the black woman who invented ROCK music.It influenced daily life, fashion, attitudes and language in a way few other social developments have equalled.There was a period when rock was the dominant form of popular music. The decline of this genre started as early as the mid 1960s. ... However, rock still sustained a force until the late 1990s. By the 2000s, pop rock was for the most part the only form of the rock that was charting high on the Billboard .

Just like a photo, a song can spark a specific memory or thought. The Different sound of each musical genre by Artists can remind us of various childhood memories,college days triggering many memories in our brains.What a cool way to Remember!
