it is not hidden how women are potrayed in the movies , from the 80's and 90's we saw two types of women in the in the film , the one is what we call heroine and the other villain , or rather say vamp, women who potray as a heroine is usually compared to a goddess, and have light makeup and very decent outfits , on the contrary women who potreay vamp or as a villain are usually have a very bold makeup , drinks and smokes , and have a little indecent sense of dressing , seeing all this people indentify them as heroine or a vamp. during action sequences also whenever an actress doing any stunt or action a song related to a goddess whether kali or durga starts playing in the backgroung, this put the heroine on the pedestal , and people start expecting her to be perfect and all pure as they say , many actress who play any role of goddess , gets mocked down on social networking sites for wearing short clothes.

even though the time is changing now , the movies like that of zoya akhtar is potraying the actual reality , and is showing , all women who wear bold makeup or wear short clothes , or rather say western clothes are not bad , thats just their attire , in which they are comfortable and confident , and being a heroine also she can do whatever she needs to do like normal human being , and is not perfect , do make mistakes. also the movies like lipstick under my burkha directed and written by alankrita shrivastava potrayed the side of women , that is seen as bad , in a very beautiful way . it showed the women of any age , has desires and fantasies whether sexual , emotional or career related , and there is no harm in that , as a normal human being she has the right to have desires and to fullfill those desires .

some movies did show women empowernment , like ki&ka but , irony was that was released on 1st april , on april fools day , that women did show empowernment , but also satiefied the male ego , as for many it was just a joke , as at the end it showed happy april fool day. its not easy to attract audience to engage and see something new , or something they have already created the opinion in their mind as bad but surely with time , society will be able to digest the fact , that each and every individual whether woman or man , has the right to do things on his/her terms.

with time , changes have been made , and it is expected that the world will soon treat each other equally and with respect . the time when world wont objectify a women and bollywood will stop making songs that potray women as a object like khamba or chicken.more female writers and directors will emerge and make movies with their point of view.
