Light Is Life. A World Without It Is Unimaginable.

The dreary darkness, the dead stillness and the trembling cold. Oh! What's going on? The anxious eyes and the scaring darkness were depicting something perilous. What it could be? Nothing could be seen. All that was visible were the shivering faces , the chattering teeth and the terrified eyes desperately waiting to bathe in the pious beam of light, to see the illumination all around rather experience the ravishing beauty of the the earth.

World without light- Well, that's beyond imagination.

Light- the visionary aspect of life has found its use way beyond the bulb today. From telecommunication to transportation, medecine to manufacturing, entertainment to research, it is difficult to find an area of science and technology unaffected by light application.

As far as medicine is concerned, light technology has a breakthrough role in revolutionising the medical industry. The finest example being endoscopy, thanks to which the depth perception of a well is possible without going into the well instead. Also the surgical procedures and diagnosis rely upon the use of light. Lazers play crucial role in dermatology, opthalmology and cosmetic industry.

As far as defence is concerned, light's applications include perimeter security, range finding, target illumination and monitoring hazardous gases.

Paintings and murals show how artists have used light and shade to illustrate mood and create atmosphere. Lighting installation can dramatically highlight the beauty of architecture.
