what is a black hole ? To give a gist, it is nothing but a dark object or a dark planet which exists several light years away . These black holes were discovered after Einstein's general relativity and scientists have been doing a research on this ever since .

Black holes are related to the string theory. Let us learn how ? First, we will learn about Black holes.

Black holes are the densest objects in this universe. We cannot see them and there is space around it . They are small in size. It is very dense that even light cannot pass through it.

  • The light just roams around the corner of the black hole.

  • In the middle, it is totally dark.

It has a very high gravitational force such that it pulls the light particles around. Researchers have been finding what is happening inside the hole.

They have found out that, if a person had tried to go in , he would die. The area around the hole where it is bright is called the "event horizon" . The picture below shows the light particles around the black hole. The black hole looks something like this.

Now the "string theory" which has been discussed earlier has been useful in finding out what happens at the event horizon. Many great researchers or scientists like "Stephen Hawking" , "Kip Thorne" have written their ideas on black holes which turned out revolutionary .

The advanced study has turned out to find what happens inside the hole through "gravitational waves" .We have observed gravitational waves through black holes. This was possible through string theory.

This is such a curious topic and let us hope people around explore more of the universe we live in and look up to it ( For reference , read the book "black holes and the baby universe" by Stephen Hawking ) .
