Teenage Affected By Substance Abuse

Children and teenage who suffer from anxiety and stress are more likely to be indulged in substance abuse like alcohol addiction. Drug abuse is higher among teenage and adolescents than the remaining general population.

There are many reasons why drug usage has changed to drug abuse. One of the primary reasons for it is- imitation and idolising superstars or heroes in movies, sports etc.

Substance abuse has major impact on the brain which consequentially affect other aspects of life. It basically disturbs the mental and physical health.

The problem in India is that there is no awareness programmes, no restricted laws, as well as no substance abuse policy for the issue. Illiterate Street kids use drugs like whitener, tobacco etc.

This can only be eradicated through prevention. Media, medical experts, schools, family and most importantly friends play the vital role in prevention.
