Fast fashion is the production of inexpensive clothes in huge amounts to meet the demands of people, preferring to be relatable to the changing trends.

Fast fashion has its own disadvantages.

The wastage that is produced is huge.
More than what you think it could be. Wastage of man power, fabric, and the piles of garbage that gets accumulated due to the disposal of the clothes when they move out of trend. This is really worrying.

They don't even last in the market , not even making them worth of the labour's effort.

But according to the retailers, fast fashion is the most preferred because people step into the shops every season or every now and then as the trends change. This increases their profit. This is the main reason why retailers prefer fast fashion over slow fashion. Slow fashion is referring more to timeless , classy and reusable good quality clothes .

Every time you buy new clothes remember that poor people who have been taken into the companies on contracts sit in the sweatshops working for hours and hours together in very poor conditions to manufacture them.

Fast fashion is mostly prevalent due to the fact that people want those high fashion red carpet looks in an affordable price.

Despite the advantages for customers, fast fashion has also been criticized because it encourages a “throw-away” attitude. Some contend that such disposable fashion contributes to pollution, poor workmanship and poor working conditions. Otherwise there has also been criticisms from the designers for illegal mass production of their designs without their consent.

Though fashion becomes affordable and is more dependent on the trend that is going on , it is important that we also take a look at the other factors that are behind these clothes and move to more sustainable fashion .
