Winners Of Indian Premier League (Ipl)

A league started by Mr. Lalit Modi on 18 April 2008, right now it is contributing Rs. 15.5 billion in the Indian GDP.

YES, I am talking about the IPL (Indian premier league).
The fact that player of different teams and countries are coming together in a single franchisee makes the tournament a massive source of entertainment for the viewers.

IPL has completed 12 seasons successfully and have many WINNERS.

1. 2008 Rajasthan Royals

The first ever season of IPL was won by the team Rajasthan Royals. A team owned by the famous bollywood celebrity Shilpa Shetty. Chennai Super Kings secured the second position after losing the final match by 3 wickets. Shane Warne was the winning team captain that year.

2. 2009 Deccan Chargers

Due to the elections in India, this season of IPL was played in South Africa and the winner of season 2 was Deccan Chargers. The team which was guided by the coach Darren Lehmann and the captain of the ship was Adam Gilchrist that year. Royal Challengers Bangalore gave tough fight but at the end DECCAN CHARGERS grabbed the trophy by 6 runs.

3. 2010 Chennai Super Kings

After losing the final match in 2008 IPL, Chennai Super Kings gave all the efforts this time to become the winners of 2010 season. All time favourite captain MS Dhoni made the right move this time and won the trophy of season 3. Mumbai Indians secured the second position that year.

4. 2011 Chennai Super Kings

Again Chennai Super Kings had won the season and this was their second continuous winning season. MS Dhoni was the captain again this year. Royal Challengers Bangalore tried but CSK gave them a loss of 58 runs.

5. 2012 Kolkata Knights Riders

Team of the most famous superstar Mr. Shah rukh khan, Kolkata Knights Riders won the 5^th season of IPL. They gave CSK a loss by 5 wickets and collected the trophy easily. Gautam Gambhir was the captain that year.

6. 2013 Mumbai Indians

Team owned by the wife of the richest man of India, due to the prayers of Mrs. Nita Ambani and captaincy of Rohit Sharma Mumbai Indians grabbed the trophy that year and the runner-up was CSK.

7. 2014 Kolkata Knights Riders

Kolkata Knights Riders had won again and secured 1^st position in 2014. Kings XI Punjab had to settle in the second position by losing the final match by 3 wickets. Again Gautam gambhir was the captain of winnings team KKR.

8. 2015 Mumbai Indians

In 2015 Mumbai Indians became the winner of IPL, after winning the final match against CSK by 41 runs, Rohit Sharma the captain of the team collected the trophy.

9. 2016 Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad won their first IPL trophy in the year 2016. Although RCB gave them a tough fight but Sunrisers won the final match by 8 runs. David Warner was the captain of the team that year.

10. 2017 Mumbai Indians

This was the third time Mumbai Indians had won the trophy of IPL and again this time the winning captain was ROHIT SHARMA. Final match of this season was very close match and Rising Pune Supergiants lost the match by just 1 run.

11. 2018 Chennai Super Kings

MS Dhoni as the captain of CSK gave the team its third trophy and secured first position in the season 2018. CSK had won the match very easily against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in hands.

12. 2019 Mumbai Indians

After winning this season of IPL, Mumbai Indians have become the most successful team of IPL by winning 4 seasons and Rohit Sharma became the most successful captain of IPL. Again the final match was held between CSK and MI, and MI won it by just 1 run.
