Khajjiar is a remote location in the Chambal district of Himachal Pradesh. It is popularly known as the "Mini Switzerland of India". It is an ancient town influenced by the great kingdoms of rajputs and mughals. It is located at an attitude of 1920m.This is a town located a few kilometres away from the town of Dalhousie.As per the saying "take roads less travelled " , this is a place not much explored in India. This valley comprises of meadows , hills and lakes. The views are simply breath-taking and can mesmerize anyone. Places to visit in Khajjiar are the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, Khajjiar Lake, Lord Shiva Statue and Golden Devi Temple. Tourist can also take part in adventure sports such as zorbing, horse riding and paragliding. This place is often used as a picnic spot by the tourist. Moreover, treks are organized for the ones who love adventures. The aged individuals can take a stroll along the meadows.In summers , the temperature is moderate ranging from 10 - 15 °C while in the winters ,the view becomes more scenic with the enhancement of snow-cladded mountains.
