"They say you can't pour from an empty cup, so take care of yourself first."

Your relationship with yourself is the most defining factor in shaping the kind of life you live. There are thousands of articles on why self love is so important, but when it comes to actually doing it, how many of us really, completely, truly believe in this concept ?

Think of the people in your life that really matter to you - friends, your partner, family or any one else. How do you treat them? You are kind to them, you put in efforts in the relationship you share with them, you give them your love and time. You make sure they have the room to grow because you love them enough to believe in the potential of their growth. And when you are unkind to your significant other, it leads to strains and difficulties in your relation with them, and of course, you hurt them.

Now tell me why would you want to be unkind to yourself? Why would you want to hurt your own self? Think of yourself as your friend, the one who you spend the most time with. Trust me when I say, YOU ARE THE ONLY CONSTANT OF YOUR LIFE.

You practice forgiveness when you hurt others, try forgiving yourself for your mistakes and just see the magic of life.

Love yourself, because it really is the best relationship of all times. People have been found crying most during the 'meditation on forgiving yourself'. Most likely it’s because we are hardest on ourselves.

Pleasure and joy are highly underrated and beating ourselves up for our flaws, highly overrated. Cultivate the opposite.

Love yourself first, because when people turn out their pockets with no spare love to hand to you, you can stuff your hands into yours, and give yourself some of your own. You never should and never have to depend on someone else for love. When you love yourself first, no body can ever steal that from you. You got nothing to lose. People may come and people may go, but your love for yourself stays till your last breath with you.
