The Stanley Hotel

The Stanley Hotel of Colorado, United States is a 142 room hotel situated five miles from the Rocky Mountain National Park. There are both positive and negative reviews regarding this hotel but there are some who believe and have experienced horror in the hotel. There are incidents where people have heard noises during midnight from the room 418. While others believe that it is room 217 which has something paranormal and people should avoid staying in that room. Some staff members claimed to have seen phantom maids cleaning up after guests leave.

Lawang Sewu

Lawang Sewu, which means thousand doors, is a landmark in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. The history of Lawang Sewu reveals that it was taken over by Japanese forces during the World War II and the basement of the B building was used as a prison where the occupiers were treated raspingly and many were put to death. Later when Dutch took over Lawang Sewu once again, legion soldiers were killed during the battle of Semarang in October 1945. Lawang Sewu is believed to be the most haunted place in Indonesia where headless spirits are spotted wandering its corridors and the B building is known to be possessed by a vampiric ghost.

Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel

It is not just a haunted hotel, but believe me it’s an adventure. Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is a 125 years old mesmerizingly beautiful hotel in Canada. In its history, along with its majestic beauty, it has some terrific stories which are believed to be true. It is a fact that some guests had a ravishing time there, but they never checked out. The room 873 of this hotel is known as the mystery room where people are seen to enter but they never come out. Presently this room is bricked up and covered in dry wall. The story behind this mysterious room is that, once a family of three checked in to that hotel room 873 and one night the father went mad and killed his wife and their little girl. It is believed that the mother and the little girl never moved out of that room. Many people have heard raging screams from that room during midnight and bloody handprints were found the wall even after cleaning.
