It's the cricket season going on now with England and Whales hosting the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The best of the teams have qualified for the renowned tournament. The ten teams that have qualified for the tournament have shown a sensational game plan during the past few games and have been given the chance to represent their countries at such a big stage. Each of the teams have their very own set of die hard fans but being a proud Indian, I here intend to take you to Indian tour of Cricket where we shall discuss the pros, cons of the Indian side in the cup.

I myself have played cricket professionally for 5 years and have represented my district and state at the State and the National level respectively. Therefore, I take this platform as a oppurtunity to do some analysis of the Indian side and figure out some of the reasons why India has been showing such a great form in the World Cup so far and as to why it might face a few herdles in it's chase for the Cup.

Indian squad for the ICC World Cup 2019 was declared way back in the March- April period during the Indian Premiere League(IPL 2019). Most of the Cricket lovers including me found the squad very balanced and Reasonable. From the opening pair of Rohit and Shikhar, then Virat at number 3, Kedar or Hardik at 5 followed by MS and so on. The side looked quite balanced and the players has proved themselves in the IPL recently. Although, quite noticebly, the number 4 batsman was a mystery at the moment. From the squad one could make out 3 options, including Lokesh Rahul, Vijay Shankar or Dinesh Karthik.

Now, the three players have shown a remarkable performance in the domestic cricket, so picking out one was a challenge for the management and the captain. One important point that we missed during this analysis was that tall the three players had a different playing format. DK being a wicketkeeper batsman, Vijay Shankar being an all rounder and KL Rahul, an opening batsman. Inspite of the two different tasks that the other two players could peroform, the team selected Lokesh Rahul to be in the playing 11. That has also worked out for team India as the performance that Rahul has been showing is very appreciatable.

This can be the decision by the Team Management that can win them the cup, because Taking in Dinesh Karthik alongside MS Dhoni makes absolutely no sense and Vijay Shankar can be retained as an alternative for upcoming matches, in case of injuries as he also serves as an alternate bowler. These little decisions are the turning points of the Team's performace and form in a tournament this vital.

One more point that is worth noticeble in the Indian side is their strong field placement. Each and every player has shown a cent accuracy on the field that ultimately saves you a lot of runs and also builds a pressure on the opponent side. Many a times, the fielding is something that has been overlooked in the Indian Team, but it is so satisfying and joyous that we are now giving the best efforts in the fielding as well, that will even add up to the winning chances.
