Synopsis Of Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5 is an open world first-person perspective action and adventure game, developed by Ubisoft. The game takes place in the fictional state of Hope County in USA. The main antagonist in the game is Joseph Seed a.k.a. The Father. He and his cult, Eden’s Gate, took control over Hope County and rules over it with the help of his family of three people: Jacob Seed, John Seed and Faith. Each one administers different parts of Hope County; Jacob administers the Whitetail Mountains, Faith administers the Henbane River and John administers the Holland Valley. Additionally, there are two islands: Dutch’s Island and Joseph’s Island. The aim is to liberate the regions and build up the Resistance by completing missions and liberating cult outposts. There are 9 Resistance Specialists, 3 in each regions and can be unlocked by completing Story Missions. They are Nick Rye, Boomer and Grace Armstrong in the Holland Valley region, Hurk Drubman Jr., Jess Black and Cheeseburger in the Whitetail Mountain region and Adelaide Drubman, Sharky Boshaw and Peaches in the Henbane River region.

The game begins with a group of 5 people. Rookie Deputy (playable character), Deputy Hudson, Deputy Pratt, Sheriff Whitehorse and U.S. Marshall Burke are on a chopper heading towards a mission of arresting the Father with an arrest warrant of kidnapping people with the intent to harm. The Sheriff tries to warn the Marshall that the mission is very dangerous and that they shouldn’t be interfering in the Father’s business. The Marshall ignores the warnings and states that he has to complete the mission. And so, they arrive at the Father’s church and arrest him and take him to the chopper. But the Father’s Cultists jump onto the chopper and destroy the engines which leads to the chopper crashing into the woods. The cultists try to capture them but the Deputy and Marshall escape the crash site. They fight their way through the cultists with the hope of escaping Hope County and liberating it with the help of the U.S. Army and the National Guard. But their car falls into a river during a firefight. The Marshall gets caught while the Deputy is saved by Dutch. Dutch guides the Deputy throughout the whole story. The Deputy is referred to as ‘Deputy’ or ‘Dep’ by the resistance and ‘Rook’ by the Sheriff, Marshall and other deputies. The cultists are commonly known as ‘Peggies’ as PEG stands for Project at Eden’s Gate. The Deputy helps in building up the Resistance and fighting against the Cult and Peggies. A special feature is the ‘Guns for Hire/Fangs for Hire’ in which we can hire 2 fighters or specialists who help us in completing missions. The Guns for Hire can drive any land transport or fly a helicopter when told to do so. But unfortunately, they can’t drive boats or fly planes for you except specialist Nick Rye.

Far Cry 5 includes certain special features like Guns/Fangs for hire who have special abilities. Also, features like Grappling, Wing suit, Parachute, Airdrop and Repairing torch are interesting and give a more realistic touch to the game. The graphics of the game has improved over the Far Cry Series. The fact that you have to buy some vehicles in order to drive them makes you enthusiastic about completing side missions and collecting prepper stashes to earn money. Overall, Far Cry 5 is in every way advanced compared to its previous titles.
