Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia, professionally known as Akshay Kumar, was born in Amritsar. His father was an army officer. He enrolled in Mumbai'sGuru Nanak Khalsa Collegefor his higher education, but dropped out as he was not much interested in studies. He requested his father that he wanted to learn martial arts further, and his father somehow saved money to send him to Thailand. Kumar went to Bangkokto learnmartial artsand lived in Thailand for five years learning Thai Boxing.

After having obtained ablack beltinTaekwondowhile in India,he studied martial arts inBangkok, Thailand, where he learnedMuay Thaiand worked as a chef and waiter. After Thailand, Kumar went to work inKolkatain a travel agency, inDhakain a hotel and Delhi where he sold Kundan jewellery. Upon his return to Mumbai, he commenced the teaching of martial arts.

During this time, the father of one of his students, himself a model co-ordinator, recommended Kumar into modeling which ultimately led to a modeling assignment for a furniture showroom. Kumar effectively made more money within the first two days of shooting than in his entire month's salary, and therefore chose a modeling career path. He worked as an assistant for photographerJayesh Shethfor 18 months without payment to shoot his first portfolio. This is how the career of the well known or rather we can say the film star earning the highest amount in a year started his career and made his path to the bollywood.

It is also said that Brucee Lee of India has got the best schedule and never ever ignores it. No matter what happens.

His daily schedule goes like, he wakes up daily at 4-4:30 and then he works out for 2-3 hours daily in a natural way like swimming, yoga, kick boxing, stretching exercises, jogging, martial arts, meditation and other activities which are beneficial for health. Then he drops his son to school. Then goes for shooting, completes his shooting , has his dinner with his family till 7-7:30 and goes to bed till 9-9:30.

He never works on Sunday. Moreover, most of the times he takes half days on Saturdays too. He believes that weekends are meant for family. Mostly, after completion of a movie he goes out for a vacation with his family. Thus, so it is said as Brucee Lee Of India has the most disciplined time table.
