Tradition is something which had been followed by the ancestors. Nowadays, it is not followed in an extensive way as a consequence of western culture's influence in our country. No one pays attention in following the conventional practices.
Indian tradition is something which is very old and the culture plays an unique role. Indian civilization began about 4500 years. Though, India has moved forward in technology, architecture, medicine etc., it is a diverse country. It is the second populous country after china. It is a country of different religion, culture, language, and even variety of foods. There are lots and lots in Indian tradition. Though, most of these practices are not followed these days, a few are being practiced somewhere around the country.

INDIAN FOOD
Indian food has a reputation for the usage of spices. Each region has it's own way of cooking which results in a large number of varieties throughout the country. Certain cooking styles are even followed in Central Asia, Afghanistan and Peru.
INDIAN DANCES
In similar to food, there are various kinds of dance. Each region has it's own way of dancing style. As a whole, there are eight common types of dances such as Bharathanatyam, Kathakali, Kathak, Mohiniattam, Kuchupudi, Oddissi, Manipuri and Sattriya. These kinds of dances do narrate a story through the dancers. It is very interesting to watch their gestures.
INDIAN WEAR
Sari is the traditional wear of Indian women. Though, it was initially belonged to Hindus, as days passed by it spread all over the country. It is considered as the comfortable one and shows the religious etiquette.
TEMPLES
It is important to know the science behind temples. The copper plate (Moolasthan) which is buried in the main idol absorbs and distributes the positive energy to the surroundings. It is good to visit temples often as gathering positive energy is more important for the human being. In addition to this, the good thing that is being practiced is to leave the foot wear outside the temple in order to keep the place clean and neat.
INDIAN FESTIVALS
Indians celebrate a lot of festivals. As the country is filled with many religions, there are lots and lots of festival. The Muslims celebrate Eid, the Christians celebrate Christmas and the the Hindus celebrate Pongal and Diwali. These are the most common festivals. In addition to these, there are so many festivals which are quite long and endless.
Apart from various tradition and culture, unity is the major characteristic which the Indians posses. Having such an unique characteristic possessed by the Indians, India is called as the country with Unity in Diversity.
