Numerous Rangers fans are campaigning to #FreeKatic movement after their shocking defeat toKilmarnocklast night.

The Ibrox side travelled to Rugby Park on Wednesday night for their first game of year 2019. Fans were convinced that Rangers would have an easy victory with new signings Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis in their ranks.

They were already confident after beating Celtic 1-0 in their final game of 2018. But they weren’t able to build on that result, losing 2-1 despite leading 1-0 up through Jermain Defoe early on.

Instead, Joe Worrall gifted Eamonn Brophy a ball from which the equaliser was scored in the first half before some more disastrous defending and poor goalkeeping let Jordan Jones score the Killie winner in the second half. Rangers fans seem to be upset onWorrall at this defeat.

It looked as though Rangers were on course for another valuable three points following Jermain Defoe’s opener. This was soon followed by a silly error from Worrall which completely changed the course of the entire game. Worrall’s time at Ibrox does seemto have been very erratic. His huge blunder in last night’s game has put a significant effect in the club’s title hopes.

Nowsome believe it’s time to bring Nikola Katic back into the team and they are using #FreeKatic on social media to make their point. People are literally protesting to start Katic and give him more game time. Katic last started for Rangers in their 7-1win over Motherwell on November11 2018, but unfortunately has made one substitute appearance since then.
