  तो क्या वह व्यक्ति जो अपने मुँह के बल औंधा चलता हो वह अधिक सीधे मार्ग पर ह या वह जो सीधा होकर सीधे मार्ग पर चल रहा है ?

• So when they have reached their prescribed time, then retain them with kindness or separate them with kindness, and call to witness two men of justice from among you, and give upright testimony for Allah. With that is admonished he who believes in Allah and the latter day ; and whoever is careful of Allah, He will make for him an outlet,
  फिर जब वे अपनी नियत इद्दत को पहुँचे तो या तो उन्हें भली रीति से रोक लो या भली रीति से अलग कर दो । और अपने में से दो न्यायप्रिय आदमियों को गवाह बना दो और अल्लाह के लिए गवाही को दुरुस्त रखो । इसकी नसीहत उस व्यक्ति को की जाती है जो अल्लाह और अन्तिम दिन पर ईमान रखेगा उसके लिए वह निकलने का राह पैदा कर देगा

• Say thou: Allah hath spoken the truth ; follow therefore the faith of Ibrahim the upright ; and he was not of the associators.
  कह दो कि ख़ुदा ने सच फ़रमाया तो अब तुम मिल्लते इबराहीम की पैरवी करो जो बातिल से कतरा के चलते थे और मुशरेकीन से न थे

• We sent you,, a revelation that you should follow the tradition of Abraham, the upright one, who was not a pagan.
  फिर अब हमने तुम्हारी ओर प्रकाशना की," इबराहीम के तरीक़े पर चलो, जो बिलकुल एक ओर का हो गया था और बहुदेववादियों में से न था ।"

  या वह शख़्श जो सीधा बराबर राहे रास्त पर चल रहा हो तुम कह दो कि ख़ुदा तो वही है जिसने तुमको नित नया पैदा किया

  कह दो कि ख़ुदा ने सच फ़रमाया तो अब तुम मिल्लते इबराहीम की पैरवी करो जो बातिल से कतरा के चलते थे और मुशरेकीन से न थे

• How can there be a treaty with the polytheists on the part of God and His Messenger, except for those with whom you made a treaty at the Sacred Mosque ? As long as they are upright with you, be upright with them. God loves the pious.
  मुशरिकीन ने ख़ुद एहद शिकनी की तो उन का कोई एहदो पैमान ख़ुदा के नज़दीक और उसके रसूल के नज़दीक क्योंकर रह सकता है मगर जिन लोगों से तुमने खानाए काबा के पास मुआहेदा किया था तो वह लोग तुमसे क़ायम रखना चाहें तो तुम भी उन से क़ायम रखो बेशक ख़ुदा परहेज़ करने वालों को दोस्त रखता है

• Whose way is better than that of the man who has submitted to God, and does good, and who follows the creed of Abraham the upright ? And God chose Abraham as friend.
  और उस शख्स से दीन में बेहतर कौन होगा जिसने ख़ुदा के सामने अपना सरे तसलीम झुका दिया और नेको कार भी है और इबराहीम के तरीके पर चलता है जो बातिल से कतरा कर चलते थे और ख़ुदा ने इब्राहिम को तो अपना ख़लिस दोस्त बना लिया

• Once they have reached their term, either retain them honorably, or separate from them honorably. And call to witness two just people from among you, and give upright testimony for God. By that is exhorted whoever believes in God and the Last Day. And whoever fears God—He will make a way out for him.
  फिर जब वे अपनी नियत इद्दत को पहुँचे तो या तो उन्हें भली रीति से रोक लो या भली रीति से अलग कर दो । और अपने में से दो न्यायप्रिय आदमियों को गवाह बना दो और अल्लाह के लिए गवाही को दुरुस्त रखो । इसकी नसीहत उस व्यक्ति को की जाती है जो अल्लाह और अन्तिम दिन पर ईमान रखेगा उसके लिए वह निकलने का राह पैदा कर देगा
