• Never comes to them of a renewed Message from their Lord, but they listen to it as in jest, -
  उनके पास जो ताज़ा अनुस्मृति भी उनके रब की ओर से आती है, उसे वे हँसी - खेल करते हुए ही सुनते है

• And when ye call to prayer they take it for a jest and sport. That is because they are a folk who understand not.
  जब तुम नमाज़ के लिए पुकारते हो तो वे उसे हँसी और खेल बना लेते है । इसका कारण यह है कि वे बुद्धिहीन लोग है

• And We send not the Messengers except as giver of glad tidings and warners. But those who disbelieve, dispute with false argument, in order to refute the truth thereby. And they treat My Ayat, and that with which they are warned, as jest and mockery!
  और हम तो पैग़म्बरों को सिर्फ इसलिए भेजते हैं कि खुशख़बरी सुनाएंऔर डराएंऔर जो लोग काफिर हैं झूटी झूटी बातों का सहारा पकड़ के झगड़ा करते है ताकि उसकी बदौलत हक़ को ये लोग डराए गए हॅसी ठ्ठ्ठा बना रखा है

• We send not the messengers save as bearers of good news and warners. Those who disbelieve contend with falsehood in order to refute the Truth thereby. And they take Our revelations and that wherewith they are threatened as a jest.
  रसूलों को हम केवल शुभ सूचना देनेवाले और सचेतकर्त्ता बनाकर भेजते है । किन्तु इनकार करनेवाले लोग है कि असत्य के सहारे झगड़ते है, ताकि सत्य को डिगा दें । उन्होंने मेरी आयतों का और जो चेतावनी उन्हें दी गई उसका मज़ाक बना दिया है

• " Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us ?"
  तो क्या तुम ये ख्याल करते हो कि हमने तुमको बेकार पैदा किया और ये कि तुम हमारे हुज़ूर में लौटा कर न लाए जाओगे

• And when he knoweth aught of Our revelations he maketh it a jest. For such there is a shameful doom.
  और जब हमारी आयतों में से किसी आयत पर वाक़िफ़ हो जाता है तो उसकी हँसी उड़ाता है ऐसे ही लोगों के वास्ते ज़लील करने वाला अज़ाब है

• And forsake those who take their religion for a pastime and a jest, and whom the life of the world beguileth. Remind hereby lest a soul be destroyed by what it earneth. It hath beside Allah no protecting ally nor intercessor, and though it offer every compensation it will not be accepted from it. Those are they who perish by their own deserts. For them is drink of boiling water and a painful doom, because they disbelieved.
  छोड़ो उन लोगों को, जिन्होंने अपने धर्म को खेल और तमाशा बना लिया है और उन्हें सांसारिक जीवन ने धोखे में डाल रखा है । और इसके द्वारा उन्हें नसीहत करते रहो कि कहीं ऐसा न हो कि कोई अपनी कमाई के कारण तबाही में पड़ जाए । अल्लाह से हटकर कोई भी नहीं, जो उसका समर्थक और सिफ़ारिश करनेवाला हो सके और यदि वह छुटकारा पाने के लिए बदले के रूप में हर सम्भव चीज़ देने लगे, तो भी वह उससे न लिया जाए । ऐसे ही लोग है, जो अपनी कमाई के कारण तबाही में पड गए । उनके लिए पीने को खौलता हुआ पानी है और दुखद यातना भी ; क्योंकि वे इनकार करते रहे थे

• That is their reward, Hell, because they rejected Faith, and took My Signs and My Messengers by way of jest.
  ये जहन्नुम उनकी करतूतों का बदला है कि उन्होंने कुफ्र एख्तियार किया और मेरी आयतों और मेरे रसूलों को हँसी ठठ्ठा बना लिया
