  ये वही लोग तो है जिन्होंने इनकार किया और तुम्हें मस्जिदे हराम से रोक दिया और क़ुरबानी के बँधे हुए जानवरों को भी इससे रोके रखा कि वे अपने ठिकाने पर पहुँचे । यदि यह ख़याल न होता कि बहुत - से मोमिन पुरुष और मोमिन स्त्रियाँ मौजूद है, जिन्हें तुम नहीं जानते, उन्हें कुचल दोगे, फिर उनके सिलसिले में अनजाने तुमपर इल्ज़ाम आएगा ताकि अल्लाह जिसे चाहे अपनी दयालुता में दाख़िल कर ले । यदि वे ईमानवाले अलग हो गए होते तो उनमें से जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया उनको हम अवश्य दुखद यातना देते

• Glorified be He Who carried His servant by night from the inviolable Place of Worship to the Far distant place of worship the neighbourhood whereof We have blessed, that We might show him of Our tokens! Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Seer.

• Allah hath fulfilled the vision for His messenger in very truth. Ye shall indeed enter the inviolable Place of Worship, if Allah will, secure, shaven and cut, not fearing. But He knoweth that which ye know not, and hath given you a near victory beforehand.
  निश्चय ही अल्लाह ने अपने रसूल को हक़ के साथ सच्चा स्वप्न दिखाया," यदि अल्लाह ने चाहा तो तुम अवश्य मस्जिदे हराम में प्रवेश करोगे बेखटके, अपने सिर के बाल मुड़ाते और कतरवाते हुए, तुम्हें कोई भय न होगा ।" हुआ यह कि उसने वह बात जान ली जो तुमने नहीं जानी । अतः इससे पहले उसने शीघ्र प्राप्त होनेवाली विजय तुम्हारे लिए निश्चिंत कर दी

• Then He ordained them seven heavens in two Days and inspired in each heaven its mandate ; and We decked the nether heaven with lamps, and rendered it inviolable. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Knower.
  फिर दो दिनों में उनको अर्थात सात आकाशों को बनाकर पूरा किया और प्रत्येक आकाश में उससे सम्बन्धित आदेश की प्रकाशना कर दी औऱ दुनिया के आकाश को हमने दीपों से सजाया और सुरक्षित करने के उद्देश्य से । यह अत्. न्त प्रभुत्वशाली, सर्वज्ञ का ठहराया हुआ है ।"

• Say, ‘Come, I will recount what your Lord has forbidden you. That you shall not ascribe any partners to Him, and you shall be good to the parents, you shall not kill your children due to penury—We will provide for you and for them—you shall not approach indecencies, the outward among them and the inward ones, and you shall not kill a soul Allah has made inviolable, except with due cause. This is what He has enjoined upon you so that you may exercise your reason.
  कह दो," आओ, मैं तुम्हें सुनाऊँ कि तुम्हारे रब ने तुम्हारे ऊपर क्या पाबन्दियाँ लगाई हैः यह कि किसी चीज़ को उसका साझीदार न ठहराओ और माँ - बाप के साथ सद्व्य वहार करो और निर्धनता के कारण अपनी सन्तान की हत्या न करो ; हम तुम्हें भी रोज़ी देते है और उन्हें भी । और अश्लील बातों के निकट न जाओ, चाहे वे खुली हुई हों या छिपी हुई हो । और किसी जीव की, जिसे अल्लाह ने आदरणीय ठहराया है, हत्या न करो । यह और बात है कि हक़ के लिए ऐसा करना पड़े । ये बाते है, जिनकी ताकीद उसने तुम्हें की है, शायद कि तुम बुद्धि से काम लो ।

• Lo! those who disbelieve and bar from the way of Allah and from the inviolable Place of Worship, which We have appointed for mankind together, the dweller therein and the nomad: whosoever seeketh wrongful partiality therein, him We shall cause to taste a painful doom.
  जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया और वे अल्लाह के मार्ग से रोकते हैं और प्रतिष्ठित मस्जिद से, जिसे हमने सब लोगों के लिए ऐसा बनाया है कि उसमें बराबर है वहाँ का रहनेवाला और बाहर से आया हुआ । और जो व्यक्ति उस में कुटिलता अर्थात ज़ूल्म के साथ कुछ करना चाहेगा, उसे हम दुखद यातना का मज़ा चखाएँगे

• And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers.
  और तुम उन को जहाँ पाओ मार ही डालो और उन लोगों ने जहाँ से तुम्हें शहर बदर किया है तुम भी उन्हें निकाल बाहर करो और फितना परदाज़ी खूँरेज़ी से भी बढ़ के है और जब तक वह लोग मस्ज़िद हराम के पास तुम से न लडे तुम भी उन से उस जगह न लड़ों पस अगर वह तुम से लड़े तो बेखटके तुम भी उन को क़त्ल करो काफ़िरों की यही सज़ा है

• And they say: were we to follow the guidance with thee, We Shall be snatched away from our land. Have We not established for them an inviolable sanctuary whereunto fruits of every sort are brought: a provision from Our presence ? But most of them know not.
