  कह दो," यह अल्लाह के अनुग्रह और उसकी दया से है, अतः इस पर प्रसन्न होना चाहिए । यह उन सब चीज़ों से उत्तम है, जिनको वे इकट्ठा करने में लगे हुए है ।"

• And if you are killed in Allah’s way or die, then the pardon from Allah and mercy are better than all what they hoard.
  और यदि तुम अल्लाह के मार्ग में मारे गए या मर गए, तो अल्लाह का क्षमादान और उसकी दयालुता तो उससे कहीं उत्तम है, जिसके बटोरने में वे लगे हुए है

• And let not those who hoard up that which Allah hath bestowed upon them of His bounty think that it is better for them. Nay, it is worse for them. That which they hoard will be their collar on the Day of Resurrection. Allah ' s is the heritage of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Informed of what ye do.
  और जिन लोगों को ख़ुदा ने अपने फ़ज़ल से कुछ दिया है बुख्ल करते हैं वह हरगिज़ इस ख्याल में न रहें कि ये उनके लिए बेहतर होगा बल्कि ये उनके हक़ में बदतर है क्योंकि जिस का बुख्ल करते हैं अनक़रीब ही क़यामत के दिन उसका तौक़ बनाकर उनके गले में पहनाया जाएगा और सारे आसमान व ज़मीन की मीरास ख़ुदा ही की है और जो कुछ तुम करते हो ख़ुदा उससे ख़बरदार है

• Is it they who distribute the Mercy of your Lord ? It is We Who have distributed their livelihood among them in the life of this world, and have raised some above others in rank that some of them may harness others to their service. Your Lord ' s Mercy is better than all the treasures that they hoard.
  क्या वे तुम्हारे रब की दयालुता को बाँटते है ? सांसारिक जीवन में उनके जीवन - यापन के साधन हमने उनके बीच बाँटे है और हमने उनमें से कुछ लोगों को दूसरे कुछ लोगों से श्रेणियों की दृष्टि से उच्च रखा है, ताकि उनमें से वे एक - दूसरे से काम लें । और तुम्हारे रब की दयालुता उससे कहीं उत्तम है जिसे वे समेट रहे है

  इसी प्रकार छिद्रित सिक्कों के एक ढेर को पाण्ड्य काल का कहा गया है ।

  ऐ ईमानदारों इसमें उसमें शक़ नहीं कि बहुतेरे आलिम ज़ाहिद लोगों के माल चख जाते है और ख़ुदा की राह से रोकते हैं और जो लोग सोना और चाँदी जमा करते जाते हैं और उसको ख़ुदा की राह में खर्च नहीं करते तो उन को दर्दनाक अज़ाब की ख़ुशखबरी सुना दो

• Are they the distributors of your Lord’s mercy ? We have distributed among them their comforts in the life of this world, and gave high status to some over others so that they mock at each other ; and the mercy of your Lord is better than all what they hoard.
  क्या वे तुम्हारे रब की दयालुता को बाँटते है ? सांसारिक जीवन में उनके जीवन - यापन के साधन हमने उनके बीच बाँटे है और हमने उनमें से कुछ लोगों को दूसरे कुछ लोगों से श्रेणियों की दृष्टि से उच्च रखा है, ताकि उनमें से वे एक - दूसरे से काम लें । और तुम्हारे रब की दयालुता उससे कहीं उत्तम है जिसे वे समेट रहे है

  जो लोग उस चीज़ में कृपणता से काम लेते है, जो अल्लाह ने अपनी उदार कृपा से उन्हें प्रदान की है, वे यह न समझे कि यह उनके हित में अच्छा है, बल्कि यह उनके लिए बुरा है । जिस चीज़ में उन्होंने कृपणता से काम लिया होगा, वही आगे कियामत के दिन उनके गले का तौक़ बन जाएगा । और ये आकाश और धरती अंत में अल्लाह ही के लिए रह जाएँगे । तुम जो कुछ भी करते हो, अल्लाह उसकी ख़बर रखता है
