Robert:

The night had not been darker ever before. The only sound that could be heard was the rustling of the leaves, and the thumping of my heart. Every gust of wind ran a chill down my spine, and every bit of joy left within me had been defeated by a dreadful sense of loneliness. All I could see was never-ending darkness.

When my eyes finally got adjusted to the dark night, I completely froze on realizing where I was. I was standing amidst a graveyard, with not a single person around me. Well, not a single alive person, to be precise. Never had I felt more dreadful in my entire life. Just when I was trying to put together bits and pieces of the past, and understand what had brought me there, something beside me vibrated.

I woke up with a jerk. My joy had no bounds when I realized that everything I had just experienced had been a dream. I heaved a sigh of relief, and began to check my phone that had been vibrating all this while. I was surprised to see around twenty five missed calls from Janet. I tried calling her back, but apparently the number was out of coverage area. She probably had left her phone in the kitchen again.

Oh, wait. Let me introduce Janet. She was my wife, the love of my life. I was finally going to meet her after two years today. I had been in London all this while, working with Dave Smith, one of the richest clients who had ever decided to work with us. I still remember, Janet had come to drop me off at the airport. She was not happy with my decision of staying apart for two years, but she controlled her emotions and bid me the warmest goodbye possible.

My project with Dave had been a wonderful success, and I was extremely excited to be meeting Janet after so long. The scary dream had slightly ruined my excitement. However, I tried to forget that and stay happy. After all, this was one of the best days of my life.

Little did I know about the nightmare that was awaiting me at home.
