We have seen the success of Indian football in recent times. We have seen the Indian National Football Team doing excellent in international matches but there is something which holds India back when it comes to call players to the national team camp. Indian government doesn't allow players with dual citizenship to represent India. This has been a serious issue always and because of the same we don't see many Indians going to play in foreign clubs despite getting continuous offers. Born in Norway, Harmeet has played for a number of top clubs, including the likes of Feyenoord and Molde.He currently plays for a Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi. He has also made seven appearances for the Norway international team.This 27 years old attacking midfielder is nicknamed as "The Norwegian Iniesta" by the international media.

5) Yan Dhanda

Born in Birmingham, England Yan Joseph Dhanda is an Indian origin player who currently plays for Swansea City FC as a winger. He is former Liverpool academy player and also represented the England U16 and U17 teams.

4) Danny Batth

He is of Punjab origin. In 2017 he expressed his desire to play for India and also came here to have a meeting with our then Sports Minister Mr. Vijay Goyel but his request was rejected and the only option given to him was to give up his British passport and stay in India which he couldn't agree. In his entire career he has played for Wolves in the English Championship and was also the club captain. After Wolves got promoted again to the English Premier League(EPL) last season he was sent to Stroke City on a 1 year loan.

3) Neil Taylor

Born in Wales to an Indian mother, Taylor started with Manchester City but was released by the club at 15. He made his name playing for Swansea City in the Premier League and currently, he plays for Aston Villa in the Championship. He has also made 41 appearances for the Wales national team.

2) Michael Chopra

Born to an Indian father, Chopra has had a superb career in English football, having played for the likes of Newcastle United and Sunderland in the Premier League. Chopra also scored a few goals in the league and made a couple of appearances in the UEFA Champions League. He also wanted to play for India but his wish was only partially fulfilled when he was signed by Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League.

Fiji national team captain and Wellington Phoenix superstar has recently won the A-League Golden Boot award for the season 2018-19. His ancestors were from India. He showed his love for India when the player himself announced that he is coming back to Kolkata, India to play for ATK in the Indian Super League which some people believe is the biggest signing in the Indian club football's history.
