Cricket, arguably one of the most celebrated sports in India, needless to say IPL is a fest in here, a fest that runs for approximately 45-50 days. It's just an epic mashup of all the finest players in the world playing under the same roof with the best of the best players, sometimes playing for the different franchise and sometimes playing for the same franchise! Fans go bonkers and berserk for their favourite IPL franchise, so much so that fan wars are merely a part of it.

The fan favourites are Royal Challenges Bangalore, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings which has the maximum number of followers!

However of the above mention 3 teams, Royal Challengers Bangalore fans stand out different. Yes, why you ask? It's quite simple actually, RCB since the inception of IPL in 2008,have had a very strong fan base. RCB have had stalwarts in its team even since the beginning, it has seen all sorts of ups and down, yet no trophy in the cabinet is what hurts them a lot. RCB qualified to finals on 3 different occasions with narrow defeats in 2009 and in 2016. 12 seasons so far, all the 12 season played unlike few teams, despite no trophies in hand, RCB still has the same loyal fan base which it had in 2008, as a matter of fact it has increased like never before! One should definitely visit the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium during April and May, the sea of warm Red welcomes you!! It's quite simple to have maximum fan base for a team which has numerous trophies but it's quite difficult to have the fan base enhanced over the years despite am empty cabinet.

RCB however, has the maximum number of records both positively and negatively such as Highest total scored in a match and also the lowest total scored in a match. Any other teams would have lost their fan base, but here we gotta appreciate the patience and loyalty of the RCB fans, for constantly supporting their team. RCB has numerous fan clubs as well, however of such fan clubs, one fan club stands out differently the 'RCB Fan Army', they prove that it's not just about sports but also about being nice and doing good by organising many non-profitable events such as serving the orphans, less fortunate and also making sure they create awareness about the Clean India concept and implement them among people

Whatever the case maybe, it's worth appreciating the RCB fan's loyalty, patience and tons of other non profitable works they do even if you are a fan of any other teams. I just wish that the prayers of RCB will be answered finally at least in the next season and they finally end up lifting up that beautiful trophy of Indian Premier League
