Pain is a more terrible lord of mankind than even death itself.
~Albert Schweitzer
Hurt or pain is something that everyone has experienced, emotional hurt is hard to get over. It is often referred to as 'unseen pain'. Emotional pain has to do with the feeling of a person. Some people say that emotional pain is sometimes stronger than physical pain.
Emotional pain is worse than physical pain because sometimes it permanent, it feels like it is etched into your soul. It will slowly eat you up from the inside and drive you insane. It gets worse when it doesn't heal because you don't know how to explain it to others and it can't be seen by others.
Slowly the pain turns into hate because of the denial following it. It's easier to say "I hate you" than saying " You're the reason I'm hurt." We don't like expressing and telling that we're hurt because we think it makes us weak and also because half the time we don't know how to explain it. The hate just keeps getting deeper because the pain isn't being treated instead it's being hidden and it keeps fueling the hatred. Vengence, Revenge follows hate. We crave to hurt the person who hurt us, we want them to feel what we feel and go through. We want them to suffer and know the pain that drowned us. It is common to feel this way but you must fight it. You are a person who's been hurt but you're not an evil person who goes about seeking revenge. Learn to forgive and learn how to get out of your pain and stay strong.
The darkness in you and the pain can cloud your judgement and make you think of things, bad things, things that you usually keep at bay. Talk to someone and let it all out, this will help a lot. Do not try to hurt yourself physically, it is two-fold difficult to get over physical and mental pain at the same time. The hate you feel can numb your soul and overtime turns toxic. Anger fosters hate, learn to control it.
Forgive those who've hurt you but don't forget, let it serve as a lesson, reminder and caution to never do the same mistakes again. Never let people walk all over you and hurt you.
" The pain you feel today will be strength you feel tomorrow."
