You read it right. Life and 'Death' on the cricket field. It is really saddening that a person can lose his life at a place , which he loves the most.

Don't get me wrong when I talk about dieing for what you love. It's not something that should happen , I wish things like these never happen. But , that's what life is all about. You never know what's gonna happen to you at any particular moment of time.

Now coming to the headline which read life and death , there are different fields where in people lose their life at the place which they love the most.

For example , The Brave Soldiers of the country die at the borders. Their life and death is at the borders. They lay their lives at the borders.

Something similar happens somewhere else too. I'm talking about the cricket field. Cricket has been the most followed sport in our country.

The people of the country worship the game Cricket. It is termed as a religion, and Sachin Tendulkar , 'The God' of that Religion.

Knowing about all the happy moments that the sport has given us , let's talk about the sad , heartbreaking moments too.

Why? Because life and sport is all about the mixture of both. Happy and sad moments.

Talking about the sad moments that the sport has given us , the most saddening is the DEATH of a cricketer on the cricket field. It has not been a new thing that we haven't have heard , of late. There have been quite a few incidents that have shook the cricketing world into tears.

The most famous and known incident being that of the late Australian Batsman , Philip Hughes.

It was on 25th November , 2014 when the incident took place. It was a Sheffield Shield match where in Phil was hit by a bouncer on the neck bowled by Sean Abbott when he was batting. It was after 2 days of battle with life , he past away on 27th November 2014.

This came in as a shock for the cricketing world as Phil past away and the entire cricketing world came together to mourn the loss of Phil Hughes.

Rest in Peace , Phil! You are in a better place now.

Now talking about the most recent incident , where in a cricketer lost his life on the cricketing field.

Rajesh Ghodge , an Ex-Ranji Player for Goa died while playing a local tournament in Goa. He collapsed on the field while he was batting on the non-striker's end. He was rushed to the hospital near by , where in he was declared Dead.

This is not the first time when such a unfortunate incident has happened where in , a cricketer has lost his life due to an injury suistained or experiencing any medical condition on the cricket field.

The first death on the field took place way back in 1870 where in a 25-year old George Summers was struck on the head while batting for Nottinghamshire against the MCC at Lord's and succumbed to his death.

Andy Ducat , Abdul Aziz , Will Slack , Raman Lamba , Wasim Raja , Zulfiqar Bhatti are some other players who met a tragic end because of their love for the game.
