Infocus - a National film festival hosted by the Dept. of Mass Communication, Loyola Academy Degree & PG College Secunderabad, on the 22nd and 23rd of February 2019.

The film fest aims to promote the talent of budding film-makers by providing the space and audience to showcase films. It’s a chance for artists to come together to critique and learn, and openly differ on the craft of film-making. Besides serious film-screenings, the fest will also have various programs and exciting workshops.

The Dept. of Mass Communication are a team of 70 People. The Teams that are need for the successful completion of the event are

  • Core Committee (6 people)

  • Volunteering Team (10 people)

Pre -Event Stage of Infocus 2k19 :-
Infocus 2K19 s planned to make things bigger and better than previous being the 11th edition to collection.

Chief Guests for the Event :-
The Chief Guests for the Event would be , Famous Tollywood Film Director Mr. Nag Ashwin ( Director of Mahanati ) and Music Composer Vivek Sagar.

Competitions :-
The Competitions this year are Short Film, Documentaries, PSA, PSM and Music Videos with each carrying a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and Memento. The Short Film has 3 Prizes with the 1st place winning Rs. 10,000 and the following 2nd and 3rd winning Rs.5000 and Rs.3000. Documentary, the first place would get Rs. 10,000 and the other competitions the 1st place would get Rs. 5000.

The Entries would be judged on 4 aspects – Creativity, Scripting, Cinematography and Message.
The Registration for Each Main Competition would be Rs. 200 each.

Decorations :-
The decorations will be made Retro Tollywood and Bollywood style to feel the Telugu and Hindi film industry of India.

This year’s Infocus decorations and set will have a cinematic and retro look.

Promotions :-
The role of promotions and Marketing are highly required here to keep all updates regarding the fest to be informed through social media platforms. Latest posters will be uploaded to gain a lot of coverage and reach.

Creation of several promo videos and trailers for Infocus will be made and circulated around.
Publishing of Posters on Various social Media Platform and Newspapers such as The Hindu, Times of India and Hyderabad Times.

Using Social media and commenting on various other pages to increase reach.
