A Letter To My Best Friend Who Deserves The World And More

Some people are like hailstorms. They rush into your life, promising you the softest of rains. But all they do, is break your spirit like an old branch in the eye of the storm.

Some people are like the heavy dark clouds heralding the storms. Once, light and friendly, so close to your heart. Now, forever aloof, hiding secrets which you are not a part of, and never will be any more.

Some people are like the night sky. Alight with stars, weaving long lost stories for lonely girls in nightdresses, peering out through their windows. Whispering soft lullabies to children afraid of the monsters under their beds. Constant. Forever yours. Never leaving your bedside.

Because you deserve to be loved.You deserve to be special.

And from each 2 am text to every two hour long call, you have shown me the true meaning of friendship, my best friend. You have convinced me that I am not fat. Nor am I immature and stupid.

And even if I were, I'd still be beautiful. I'd still be smart and kind. I'd still be your best friend.

You know, friend, I have seen manygorgeous people with very little beauty within. You might not be built like a model, you might have your insecurities regarding your braces and glasses, heck, you might have all the flaws that you think you do.

But you are the most beautiful and wonderful person to me. Because it is the beauty within that counts.

Oh, my self proclaimed introvert, my beautiful little nerd, don't you see, the world awaits you? They would kill to have your brains, your kind personality and your staunch loyalty. They would kill to be you, best friend.

And one day, when you are all grown up and successful, look into that mirror once again. That same mirror which made you feel insecure, which fed off your fear, which tried to crush your soul.....that same mirror, my dear, will tell a different story.
