What to do when you are bored?
Boredom, ah the one thing which is common for every single person who isn’t passionate about something, don’t get offended I am one of you too.

No matter how hard you try to keep yourself busy there might come a time when you have finished with everything, or you are procrastinating harder than I do, then you might find yourself in a place where you have a lot of free time. So what can you do to fill this void?

Read a book – This might not appeal to the cool janta but reading a book has helped a lot of people, there are millions of books out there, take someone’s opinion or find must-read books online and buy one for your free times.

Draw – You know even Hitler used to draw paintings, his paintings were peace on canvas but the guy was a devil. So if you want to feel closer to the guy then paint. Paint your wildest imagination, if you can’t, just throw some paint on the canvas and have fun with it.

Organise your room – Yeah, so if you are one of those whose rooms are always clean then this isn’t for you – nerd. But for the normal people, organise your room and decorate it in differently.

Have a spa-day for yourself at home – Yes, dudes you can do this too, no one is going to judge. Clip your nails, wear a face pack, massage your scalp, put your feet in warm water and put on some jazz, and rejuvenate.

Watch Ted-talks – Ted talks brings a lot of good speakers who have actually achieved a lot in their lives. They share their experiences and might give you some ideas or might open your mind.

• This one is my personal favourite, go paint-balling, laser-tagging or to a gun range. And shoot the heck out of the target.

These are some ideas that I have got from other people and these have actually worked phenomenally well.

Now, imagine a life that is devoid of boredom. On first glance, many of us might find such a prospect desirable, even ideal. But consider it more carefully. We are not talking about a life bereft of boring situations. Someone like Gibson is free of pain only insofar as he cannot experience it. Such a life, however, still contains dangerous and harmful things. Similarly, the life of someone who cannot experience boredom will be free of boredom – but only because the subject of this life cannot experience boredom. If we did not have the capacity for boredom, then any situation – regardless of how trivial, banal, or humdrum it might be – would fail to strike us as boring. Nothing would be boring. Not the experience of listening to the same lecture over and over again. Not the seemingly endless time spent waiting in offices. Yet some situationsshould bore us.

Peace.
