For me, for you and for every living being on this planet, death is the ultimate truth and also something that most of us fear. And that fear is mainly because we've attached ourselves so much to this world. We all are trapped in a race competing with each other, trying hard to get ahead of everyone else in fulfilling our selfish desires. All our life we put everything in making our lives beautiful in this world, but no one knows what second of our life will be our last. People keep doing everything just for the sake of the life ahead of them, forgetting the fact that they might not even live to see it. The house that we built or the property that we own, nothing matters then. People keep working hard to own big bungalows, an expensive car, all the latest gadgets of the time and all the worldly things that you can imagine. But after our death everything that we ever did for ourselves then goes in vain.
We should rather do things not just to fulfill our desires but that would in turn be for the sake of people around us. To help the ones in need and to work to make this world a better place for the people to come.
Everyday there are so many people that die but only a few that are remembered. We all have heard the saying that some people never die, and those people are the ones who gave up their lives for the sake of others. One of the greatest examples is that of Nelson Mandela who in his life tried hard to bring the people of different races together, and in our country we have the example of Mahatma Gandhi. These are the people who strived everyday of their life for the betterment of their people. They tried to save this world from falling into the hands of the evil. Just like them we all will die one day, but whether we would be the ones who will be remembered ages after our death, completely depends on the work that we do now. It depends on what we strive for throughout our lives.
Your actions should leave an impression on the hearts of people. You should do things that will bear fruits even after you are long gone so that you are remembered. It is your good deeds that will make you inevitable and not the money that you own. You might be the richest man on the planet, but if you're not rich in good works, your name will soon fade away like it never even existed. So do what makes people talk good of you even behind your back. Don't go for the fame that is temporary, do what keeps your name alive for ages. A lot of people wish for an eternal life but only a few can get it not because of what they have but because of what they do.
