India defeated Australia by 36 runs in her Second World Cup encounter.India won convincingly without any pressure. Australian team bowled out in last over of the match. For Australia Alex Carey played a stunning knock and made his half century quickly.He made 55 runs in just 25 balls with the help of 5 fours and 1 six. Maxwell also played a quick knock for Australia but got out at a crunchy situation. He tried to hit Chahal out of the park but couldn't control the ball and Jadeja took an excellent catch to send him back. Australia started very slow. They had a clear game plan not to loose wickets in starting of the inning and had to hit in last overs. But,India has one of the best bowling unit. David Warner was off colour. He took 84 balls just to score 56 runs. Steve Smith played the role of anchor for Australia but got out at crucial stage of the match. Khwaja also looked very good but chose a wrong shot against world's number one bowler Bumrah and got out.

For India, Bhubneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah shared 6 wickets. Bhubneshwar returned in his form and took 2 wickets in an over and turned the match in favour of India. He took the wickets of Smith and Stoinis in an over and brough Australia into tremendous pressure. Chasing a big total in a big match is not an easy task. Score board pressure kept on mounting for Australians. Their inning crumbled in pressure situation. Chahal also took two important wickets of Warner and Maxwell. Maxwell was looking dangerous at a stage.He hit 5 fours and made 28 runs in just 14 deliveries. In death overs, Bhubneshwar showed his temperament and experience. He remained economical as well .Bumrah once again proved tedious for Australians. It's always hard to score against him in death overs. Specially, his toe breaking Yorkers, slower ones and whistling bouncers just make batsmen intimidating. Kuldeep Yadav's form is a concern for India. He didn't take any wickets and batsmen went against him.

Earlier, Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first seeing the dry wickets and clear weather.Rohit and Shikhar started slow but took the pace when Maxwell and Adam zampa came to bowl. They didn't give time to settle Australian Spinners. Shikhar took charge on Coulter -Nile.Indian Openers gave a solid foundation to Indian inning. Rohit was looking good suddenly Coulter-Nile pace and bounce surprised him and edge went in the gloves of Alex Carey. After Rohit got out after hitting a half century Shikhar and Kohli took responsibility and took India towards a huge total. Shikhar hit third century of the world cup he made 117 runs. He was having good time with the bat in this game. He played all around the field. He drived,pulled,cut and hooked. Shikhar form is important for India.

After Sikhar Pandeya and Virat took the charge of the inning and smashed all around. Pandeya made a quick 48.MS Dhoni also came and hit at the right moment. He hit a big six to Michael Starc. Virat also made half century which is a good sign. In the last over KL Rahul came and hit a six and four to cross the score above 350.Overall,it was a clinical performance from Indian team. It was a team effort. India did well in all the departments and played as a unit. Shikhar form and Bhubneshwar form will make Indian think tank relax. While For Australia David Warner has to take responsibility in big game. He played very slow which was a major reason for Australian defeat. Starc and Cummins had to take wickets in first 5 overs but they couldn't. But, Australia fought well which is not very surprising but at the end of the day India became victorious. India has to face New Zealand in his next game. This win against Australia will boost team for sure. New Zealand had defeated India in practice game. But, it would be difficult for kiwis to win against India.
