Challenges Before Amit Shah

Amit Shah became the union home minister in Modi cabinet 2.0 .This is an important portfolio after prime minister of India. Home ministry is considered rank second in the government. Earlier, Rajanath Singh served this portfolio for the Modi Cabinet 1.0 .Rajnath has been assigned as the defence minister in Modi cabinet for second term. Home minster has to tackle many problems within India. Kashmir issue is the prominent one among them. Stone pelting incidents have increased during the tenure of Modi government in Kashmir which needs to be tackled.

Militancy has also increased over the last five years in comparison to UPA 1 and 2.Home minister has to address these grave issues which is not going to be cash cow. Political instability in Jammu and Kashmir also had a significant impact over these issues. BJP left PDP after that the state is being ruled through president rule. Election commission of India is looking to conduct election in the state as well. Home minister Amit Shah has held a series of meetings pertaining to Kashmir .He is mapping the issues and challenges before the government to bring rule of law in the state.Moreover,Pulwama attack has escalated the situation in Kashmir. The biggest problem before us is to check infilters from Pakistan. Also, government has to refrain Kashmiri Youths to join any terrorist organization within Kashmir. Local militants create huge threat to peace and prosperity in the region which needs to be checked. Government agencies, Jammu and Kashmir police, CRPF, Indian Army and other forces have to work in sink to address this grave issue of terrorism.

Besides terrorism, Amit Shah has a responsibility to bring Naxals into the mainstream by convincing them to leave weapons in states like Bihar,Jharkhand,Chhatisgarh,Madhya Pradesh etc. We loose many of our brave soldiers in confrontation with these organizations.Naxalism is inner threat to peace. Weapon is not a solution to any problems but the government has been failed to convince these groups.

Amit Shah has serious responsibility to address these issues in this tenure. The government claims not to compromise with national security.Amit Shah has to prove this.
