These villages are packed with exciting sports & cultural activities for tourists, ecstatic beauty & peaceful vibe can be felt in these mini-metropolises all over the world. 1.Giethoorn, Netherlands

The “Venice of Netherlands” is a calm peaceful place with lakes & greenery around. It is surrounded by National park of De Weerribben Wieden has been covered totally with trees. The area has thatched roof houses with ferry boats around the canals; the canals are main transportation available as the number of roads is less. The water canals are beautifully connected with bridges, there are overall 150 bridges; the scenery is like that of Venice therefore it was named so.

The history of the area is bit unsure for, some say it was founded by a monk from Francis in the 13th century while others state that fugitives from Mediterranean stated settling first. Although the village of Giethoorn was unknown for many years & came to light when the movie Fanfare was produced there in 1958.

2.Popeye Village, Malta

Sweethaven village another name of the famous Popeye village; popular because the musical Popeye was produced here. This village was the set for the Paramount production team in 1980, late comedian Robin William played role in it. The film set is now an open-museum for the public & sea resort to enjoy the beach waves from Anchor Bay.

It is famous for its wooden architecture & vibrant coloured buildings. You can go for exploring the village, watch a show, visit museums, go for boat rides & wine tasting is a delight for our taste buds & numerous fun things to do.

3.Positano, Italy

Positano is located on the cliffs at the Amalfi Coasts, when viewed from sky it looks just perfectly dramatic town to attract people with keen eye towards it. This village has a medieval vibe to it with streets lined with lemon, olive, orange grooves even the pavements made of stone. Just right amount of tranquil there are all the restaurants, motels, boutiques & chic place. It is a site of splendid structural art & architecture.

Positano has its own share of magic & mystic stories that are circulated around in local bars & street side gatherings. First inhabitants are believed to be settled around 6000 B.C. in La Porta caves.
