Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors (GSW) are an American professional basketball team based in Oakland, California. They play in the National Basketball Association (NBA). They are a member of the western conference pacific division. Warriors were founded in 1946 in Philadelphia and later in 1962 relocated to San Francisco. The home team arena where the warriors play all their home games is the Oracle Arena in Oakland, although next year they will shift to a new arena.

They are nicknamed the Dubs. They have been the best team in the NBA for the past five years and they currently hold the record for the best record ever in a regular season of 73 wins. They are coached by Steve Kerr who was one of the best players of his era and a champion as well as a teammate of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, Forbes estimates the value of the Warriors at $3.1 billion.

The Warriors had a period of struggle in the first decade of the 21st century until the year when they drafted Stephen Curry, son of sharpshooter Dell curry. Steph was touted as one of the best shooters in the draft ouit of Davidson College. He was touted as the next superstar point guard.

From the year 2012, the Warriors started to reap the reward of patience and wise drafting, when hrough the draft they developed the best shooying backcourt of all time which includes two of the greatest shooters of all time, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
