The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is going on in full swing. Hosted by England and Wales, the 12th edition of what we Indians call "Cricket ka Maha Kumbh" certainly scores high up on the scale of skill, thrill and entertainment for audience. With many excellent performances by both batsmen and bowlers, this edition delivers well on the promise of quality cricket , providing the audience, the ones watching at homes on TVs, as well as the cricket fanatics gathered at England in large numbers, the well deserved adrenaline rush.

For us Indians, cricket isn't just a sport, it's a religion, it flows in the veins and arteries of us 125 crore Indians. The same is shown in the many world class cricketers coming out of every nook and corner of our vast motherland. We love our team, support them and pray for them. Such overwhelming are our crowds and support we show that they are second to none! This fact was validated recently, when majority of us supported our own MSD in the recent Balidan-glove- fiasco, making it a trending topic on Google and Twitter.

Here's a collection of some great words uttered by our great players , showing the dedication and efforts they put in their game. These words also serve as a source of inspiration for us readers. So, here we go.

Starting with none other than the master blaster, the God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar, his words are really pulling us towards our calling. Here's his version of "Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Login Ka Kaam Hai Kehna" -

"People Throw Stones At You And You Convert Them Into Milestones."Savage indeed!

Another one : " Enjoy Your Game and Chase your Dream. Dreams do come True."Such simple yet powerful words!

Moving on to the Captain Cool, our greatly respected super-strategist Mahendra Singh Dhoni, whose words provide guidance to approach life in the better way. For instance,

"Till the Full Stop doesn't come, the Sentence isn't Complete."

"If you die, you die. You don't see the better way to do so."

"I've three dogs at my home. Even after losing a series or winning the same, they treat me the same way."

His words are so simple, but so humane and teach us to take life in our stride, come what may. We tend to overcomplicate things when in reality, they are a lot simpler....

Now these are the words of the Wall of Cricket, Mr. Gentlemen, Rahul Dravid -

"No dream is ever chased alone."

"You don't play for revenge, you play for respect and pride!"

This highly revered figure in world cricket has highlighted the importance of one of the most crucial factors in any victory - teamwork, coordination and pride.

There are many such motivational words of all our favorites out there. Let's follow them and continue supporting our favourite team.
