REFLECTION
Never thought you would do that to me,
Said he,
Who looked like young me.
Just a vivid dream I thought.
Guess its the weariness from today's battle I fought.
It was he who sobbed again,
I had to pay attention,
Couldn't help but not to bargain.
You shattered dreams,
You shattered hopes,
You promised a lot but got no scope.
I caught my reflection weeping this time,
With eyes all black and a brusied back.
It's just you couldn't keep up with your dreams he said,
And I cried myself laying on bed.
Sripped off the white coat and stethoscope,
Not really the bright things i could hope.
Brain washed by the world to hold on so still,
Perhaps destiny has drawn something better for me with her quill.
Each day I pass with a monotonous drudge,
Just to find my self holding a grudge.
Not for the people, not for the world.
Just for my deeds that had me burned.
I caught my reflection weeping this time,
With eyes all black and a brusied back.
It's just you couldn't keep up with your dreams he said,
And I cried myself laying on bed.
