“ My insecurities made me walk faster towards my 7 year old daughter whom I found playing with the humped kid…

The hauntings that were engraved by the stories from my Nan in my childhood about the jinxing by the humped kids never left my mind. And even after all these times and perfect education, it made me scared seeing my daughter near it…

As I approached my daughter, I heard her speaking to the kid brushing his back…
“I think someday this shell on your back will break and you will become an angel and fly to heaven…”

These words sung by my little angel as they returned back to their play brushed me like a cool breeze and blew away all those thoughts and insecurity, of this mature scared mother, from mist to clarity.

The purity of thoughts and the calmness in the voice did leave me with a new line of thoughts of how I see things...

It’s all about perspective you see…

And my little daughter holds the best of it…”

The crowd in my book reading session rose applauding to my words as I ended my answer to the question of where I got the inspiration to write my book.

From the corner of my eye I found my daughter who was turning 8 today, playing with the other kids around her. The protagonist to my story “The world’s religion from the eyes of a 7 year old”.

Sorry if I disappointed you with a short article. Here is a potato in my defence.
