A Relationship Tale You Can Relate

You,

Find yourself in a relationship,
With someone for whom…
You bore the severest of pain,
You thought you could never go through.
Sacrificed your sleep;
Staying up late…

Tranquillizing your ambition and serenity,
Just to mobilize their life…
And perhaps have given them
The most priority till date.
And much more unspeakable and forgotten sacrifices
That could be mentioned here.

And then there is

Them,

Much oblivious of you…
Often screaming and shouting, slamming mental doors…
Not valuing much of your existence.
Staying away at times when they should be with you…
Seems that you don’t exist in their priority list.

You want them near you,
But have accepted their
Deliberate absence to be the only way to stay together,
Putting the blame on time,
For being so rude to you…
You still stick to them,
Feeling helpless,
Silently praying that your love would bring them back…

I feel,
Some of you might have connected this sagaciously to
Your previous or existent partner…
And have wondered over this toxicity of relationship.

But…
Lets read it one more time…
This time,
“You”being your mom.
And
“Them”being You…

Go on… Read that again…
Let it sink in…
