Books are the best gift one can have in their lives as they always have something new to offer no matter how many times you read them.
Let's look into a new habit today – 'book reading'. Reading is one such habit where you would never like to distance yourself from.
This habit is something we must inculcate in our lives a a young age so it becomes a habit andnot a hobby. In this era, where watching youtube and going through instagram is on the rise book reading is gradually loosing it cool. In today's world where there is high speed internet and smart phones in everybody's reach, books are becoming never-to - be - seen in our lives. No wonder there are less of libraries and moreof smartphone shops. But in an era where there was no internet, no smartphones and no social media, how did people kill their time? Ever wondered how your grandmother or grandfather knows so many stories and poems? Do they surf internet and tell you the stories? Of course not. They know it, because they have read it. I don't say youtubing and instagramming is something not to be done in our lives, but what do they have to offer you apart from entertainment? But reading a book has so much to offer you; like it helps in improving concentration, increasing your vocabulary, enhances your language and much more.
A good book stands by you like a rock, motivates you like a friend and comforts you like a mother. Ifj you observe, great leaders and personalities like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru all of them had one trait in common and that is to read. I don't say that by reading we become great but we can surely imbibe some of the great qualities that they had.
I say give a break to youtubing and instagramming and try out try out reading a book. But be meticulous in choosing the right kind of book because the famous author jk rowling in her own words has said "if you dont like to read, you haven't found the right book".
Being a reader myself, I would like to suggest some books to beginners.
