Four More Shots Please

Four More Shots Please is an Amazon Prime Originals 10 episodes series, staring Sayini Gupta, Bani J, Kriti Kulhari and Manvi Garoo.

It's a story of four girls with broken hearts, internal turmoil and fantasy filled sex capades who meet each other at a suburban bar which later becomes their hangout spot where they discuss their everyday problems with a number of shots washing down their throats.

Ambition, anxiety, work-life imbalance are the topics covered. It is a simple series which is beautifully scripted. All the four characters are very different from each other. Of course feminism is shown in this series but in a much nicer way.

Sayini Gupta (as Damini) plays the role of a no non-sense-editor-in-cheif of an investigative website. She fantasise about a much elder yet ridiculously hot doctor, Milind Soman (Dr. Amir Wari), who happen to be her gynaecologist. She is successful, determined and hardworking but her ideologies being in conflict with that of the board of directors gives her a hard time.

Kriti Kulhari (as Anjana Menon) is a divorcee with a cute little daughter Jiya Lakiani (as Arya). Even after divorce she happens to be in good talking terms with her ex-husband Neil Bhoopalam (as Varun Khanna). Although Arya gives her a complex by warming up to her dad's chirpy girlfriend Amrita Puri (as Kavya Arora). It seems like kavya's raagi dosa took over Arya's heart. But as we all know that there's no one else who could take place of our very own mother. Anjana's love for her daughter is so well portrayed by Kriti, especially in the last episode, that you'll definitely sit numb drying your wet eyes. Kriti looks absolutely stunning in her character and her outfits are definitely something to look upon girls. In the later episodes you'll also find her dating the very handsome Ankur Rathee (as Arjun Nair) who is much younger to her. The two look great together.

Bani J (as Umang) plays the role of a strong, bold, bisexual gym trainer. Luck hits her destiny as she gets to train her celebrity crush Lisa Ray (as Samara Kapoor). The struggle of a small town girl from Punjab fighting all the odds and living her life on her own terms has been decently portrayed by Gurbani.

Manvi Garoo (as Siddhi Patel) plays the role of a tormented kid who is pulled down by her own socialite mother Simone Singh (as Sneha Patel). Her character is mellow and borders between being irritable and arousing sympathy. Despite of being a little chubby she learns to embrace her body. She also finds the man who loves her exactly the way she is.

Four more shots please is an incredible show. Girls shouting Vagina at the bridge is one scene you'll never forget. Over and all it's a fun series which is a compilation of comedy, feminism, romance and fantasy which is worth watching.
