All creatures deserve a life free from fear and pain.
Why to conserve wildlife? What is the use of protecting animals? To all the fools who think there's no use of this- wildlife maintains a healthy ecological balance. Like humans, animals and birds Should also be able to live freely in their habitat. Conserving wildlife is the way by which we can protect endangered plants and animal species and their own habitat.

Wildlife conservation has become increasingly important practice due to the negative effects of human activity on wildlife. Indian wildlife comprises one of the richest varieties of species in the world. We also have several endangered species that are living critically and might face extinction in next few decades! It's our job to protect them and conserve these species.

The reason behind these species getting endangered or extinct is obvious. Either few species are hunted by man for his own commercial use. The most important example in this respect that arises is TIGER. Tiger is illegally hunted fod their flesh, teeth skin paws and nails just for money. And the most threatening thing is that Tiger, today is one of the endangered species.

In India, tiger hunting became a popular activity of the elite class since the 16th century. Killing tiger was a deed of courage and bravery to the thhen emperors like Akbar, the great. Some people considered tiger killing as a challenging and exciting sport. Even when today our government have prepared projects like "The tiger project", they are still illegally hunted in some parts of the world. Project Tiger has been the only successful and sincere effort of the government to protect the Indian Tiger.

The next being Orangutan. These are the great apes known for their intelligence. But unfortunately I they are currently found only in Borneo and Sumatra. In the recent years, there population widely decreased and their population may decrease by 70-80% by next few decades due to environmental factors. They are also poached for their skin and bones.

The tropical forests which are cut off for cultivation lands has also resulted in decreasing their number. Several foundations are created today for conserving the last few orangutans.

The other endangered animals include black spider monkey, black footed ferret, blue whales, pangolins, snow leopards, panda...more and more.

Every effort made in accordance to conserve wildlife will conserve our natural wealth, flora and fauna. Every individual along with various organizations should feel responsible and protect the country's wildlife resources. Taking steps like

  1. Reforestation: planting trees to restore the woods back.

  2. say no to Plastic: plastic is the major reason why marine animals are at a risk of extinction. We humans are indirectly killing these innocent living beings. Plastic should be banned immediately.

  3. Reduce waste and conserve the oceans: Oceans are a home to millions of species underwater. It's our duty to protect them and preserve their shelter.

  4. Do not engage in sport hunting or poaching

  5. Try to take a plant-based diet.

Above all - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

We all living beings are expected to live in Harmony without threatening them. Its high time to speak for the ones who CANNOT SPEAK!.
