In our world the greatest thing that anyone can persue with all their might is, happiness. One can just simply not live a life without having some sort of happiness to be relieved of one's hardships by. That is, if one really knows what happiness is. And hence the question is raised: what is happiness? Can you define it in any shape or form? Many have tried by stating that it is a state of mind when nothing negative or sad is going on in your brain, but i find this way of defining a feeling very trivial. You see, what we have here in life MIGHT be only the word but not the emotion, you may experience similar emotions such as not or excitement as some might call it, you may experience satisfaction but happiness...happiness is quite the different story. Either happiness as an emotion does not exist at all or it is so damn rare to experience that it can take a life time to approach that level. So next time when you might feel positive, introspect a bit to actually dig deep into what you may be feeling.

It may surely be that true happiness or the true sense of the emotion could only be experienced the moment one finds out what it really is. And for that one needs a whole lot of experience in life.

So ask yourself this "What would make me 'happy'" not elated, not satisfied, not amused, but happy, in its wholesome essence.
