Introduction

The wine festival of Limassol (Lemesos) is held yearly for two weeks from the end of August till start September(30Aug – 8sep). Wine festival of Cypriot is a Cultural event that praises the glory of the Cypriote wine takes place in the festival that entertains around 15,000 visitors. Main events of this festival is a piece of Greek music and dancing. The Wine Festival is a cultural event.

This event has been the emblem of the Wine Festival since 1961. Inspired by the ancient festival dedicated to the God of Wine Dionysos and the Goddess of Beauty and Love Aphrodite. In this festival all the wines offered to all visitors in unlimited quantities with free of charge as a compliments. Here you can taste the variety of local wines from large and small wineries, and traditional Cypriot food, enjoy the performance of different artistic groups.

CyWineFest always strives to provide top Cypriot dancers such as the Argonaftes, the Assiotes dance group, and of course, Karotseris Aradippou who have kept the crowds enticed and off their seats, engaging the event with old school Cypriot values, their hospitality, and their approachability has made them a festival favorite.
