Animals were given the right to be here long before we arrived.

Mother earth supports the life of every living being and gives them a right to live here. Ouruniverse confronts with many marvelous uncovering, particularly in the medical world, during the 21st century. Many drugs have been discovered for different kind of diseases, including deadly virus infections, polio, etc. We have endured the loss of many living creatures, in order to achieve success in our research.

Animal testing is used widely in the cosmetic and medical industry. In pharmacy, it is common to use animals as experiment media. Scientists have to ensure that new drug which they discovered is safe to consume for people. Animals are regarded as perfect experiment object because they have a similar reaction as human. Another reason for using animals as research object is also based on research ethics code that prohibits scientists to use human for an experiment.

Using an animal as an experiment object cause them to suffer a lot. Firstly, laboratories are no placefor any animal. They are typically sterile, indoor environments in which the animals are forced to live in cages – denied complete freedom of movement and control over their lives. Following actions are involved, during testing on rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, and rats;

  • Injecting or force-feeding animals with potentially harmful substances

  • Exposing animals to radiation

  • Surgically removing animals’ organs or tissues to deliberately cause damage

  • Forcing animals to inhale toxic gases

  • Subjecting animals to frightening situations to create anxiety and depression.

Substances are forced down their throat, into their eyes across their skin until they die a very painful death. Moreover, sometimes drug reaction causes them to suffer and die slowly. According to a report, more than 100 mice are sacrificed to discover one drug, some of them have the genetic mutation and the others die tragically.

We are in a are where almost everything is possible and with the science and human ingenuity we have to create such innovative solutions we don’t need animal testings anymore. Many organization around the globe are working with the government and scientists to replace the use of animal tests withmodern methodsto test the safety of cosmetics, chemicals, pesticides, drugs, and other products. Alternatives to animal testing include sophisticatedtests using human cells and tissues (also known asin vitromethods), advanced computer-modeling techniques (often referred to asin silicomodels), and studies with human volunteers.

In this beautiful world, animals have as much right to live as human beings. In totality, the entire earth is a common property of all of us. Animals cannot speak for themselves and for that reason we need to protect them. Every life should be valued.

Respect all lives, love all lives.
