“I’m exhausted.
I see no point going on.
I quit.”

Most people think that they are the only ones whose life is a mess. They feel restless when they face even the smallest of failures. Then there are some extreme cases where people no more value themselves or their lives. This happens when they lose all hopes. They just decide nothing good can probably happen to them that can turn their lives around. This is the worst kind of thought that can make a person feel completely empty.

The power of ‘hope’ is under-estimated by many. They tend to ignore its capability of changing somebody’s life from ‘nothing to everything’. They feel it is a fake consolation that delays our acceptance of harsh truth. But that is just a perception of a closed mind. It indicates pessimism. Every coin has two sides and it is up to us which side to choose. Hope can be the tiny ray of light that can illuminate even the darkest hours of your life. Many a times all you need is that little push, a gesture of support, a simple hug or even a pat on the shoulder that makes you feel better and regain your confidence. When you see that people haven’t lost their hope in you, you feel that you are worth something. You can indeed achieve success with patience and hard work. Sure, sometimes you may feel betrayed when worse comes after worse, but that’s just life making you strong. You will ultimately conquer all the doubts and march towards victory when you stick with hope. Afterall, the universe has to complete its cycle of positives and negatives without fail.

It is rightly said that life doesn’t come with a manual and there is in fact no set of solutions for problems that one faces along. But what you definitely should do when everything seems to fall apart is, not lose hope. It is a very strong tool that keeps you going no matter what. Great things take time to happen and you never know how close you were to finding that diamond. So, never stop digging in life, my friend.

To wrap it up, here are a few lines that express my feelings about ‘hope’.

Hope.
My favorite word.
The word that calms my anxiety.
The word that pushes me through hell.
The word that soothes my cries.
The word that defies science.
The word that lessens the ache.
The word that gives a reason to wake.
The word that can never die.
The word that is a beautiful lie.
The word that makes waiting worth-while.
The word that makes my heart, beat for one more time.
