South India covers the southern states of India like andhra Pradesh,Tamil nadu,kerala and karnataka.The traditional heritage and culture of south India makes it unique and divine to say.Rice is staple food here.The traditional attire of men include a long drape like cloth called lungi and a small piece of cloth around their neck called kanduva.Women look gorgeous wearing various types of sarees which they are special for.South Indian culture though with its visible differences forms an important part of the Indian culture. The South Indian Culture is essentially the celebration of the eternaluniverse through the celebration of beauty of the body andmotherhood.

The moment we hear the word south India a lot of things strike our mind which makes south unique.Some of the main attractions which are special in south India are listed below:

1.Cuisines:

Many of us assume only idli with sambhar and coconut chutney when we think of south food.But the point is southern food has different types of cuisines with different flavors.Hyderabad biryani is famous in telangana whereas Andhra Pradesh is characterized with various types of pickles and sweets.Tamil nadu is of course famous for idli,utapam and sambhar.Apart from this,south Indian thali is colorful with variety of food making it impossible to leave it.

2.Music

South India itself has diverse cultures and great heritage.Music forms ranging from rural folk songs to carnatic music form a important part of its culture.The main instrument that is used in south Indian Hindu temples is the (nadaswaram) It is said to have been created when the very first temple was established in South India

3.Dance

The South Indian culture is celebrated in the elaborate dance forms of South India:Bharatnatyam,oyilqttam,karakattam,kuchipudi,kathakali,thirayattam,Bhutakola,Ottamthulal,Oppana,kerala natanam,MohiniattamandYakshagana. These dance forms carry the legacy of south Indian history.

4.Culture:

South India has a rich culture whose origin goes back thousands of years ago. One thing I love is their tradition of marriage with so many rituals which is a feast to watch.The architecture and paintings hold great importance which are a symbol of their great heritage of kings and their history.South India boasts of having two enchanting styles of rock architecture, thepure Dravidastyle ofTamil Nadu and thevesarastyle (also calledKarnata Dravidastyle) present inKarnataka.

Sculptures became one of the finest medium of South Indian expression after the human form of dance. Sculptures adorn many of thetemples around the complexes and also inside them. They are also depiction of dance steps of various stylizations and have served to preservedance forms and revive it
